Barangaroo is Sydney's biggest urban regeneration project since the 2000 Olympics and one of the most significant waterfront transformations currently underway anywhere in the world. The site is divided into three distinct development areas – The Headland Park, Barangaroo Central and Barangaroo South.
Lend Lease is developing Barangaroo South and has entered into an exclusive agreement with Crown Resorts to develop a landmark six-star hotel resort on the site, which will be branded Crown Sydney.
The NSW Planning Assessment Commission granted conditional approval for the Crown Sydney Hotel Resort following a comprehensive review of the development application.
During the planning process Crown Resorts consulted with local neighbours and businesses as well as the City of Sydney and industry stakeholders and looks forward to continuing this process during the construction period.
Barangaroo is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create a vibrant new precinct to live, work and visit.
Barangaroo reconnects the CBD to the harbour and opens it up to the public. More than 50 per cent of the entire site will be public space with a new park and 100 per cent access to the public waterfront.
