Crown Wallet

1. INTRODUCTION

1.1. Crown is the issuer of the Crown Wallet. 

1.2. These Terms and Conditions contain the provisions which apply to use of the Crown Wallet by a Member or Guest of the Crown Sydney Casino. 

1.3. Capitalised terms used in these Terms and Conditions are defined in clause 12. 

1.4. By becoming a Member and continuing to hold a Membership, or by entering Crown Sydney Casino as a Guest, you agree that you have read, understood and accepted the terms and conditions and you must comply with the Terms and Conditions at all times. 

1.5. Crown may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Crown will make the amended Terms and Conditions available on the Website. 

1.6. It is your responsibility to ensure you review any amendments to the Terms and Conditions. 

1.7. These Terms and Conditions are subject to the requirements of any applicable law and / or requirements or directions of any regulatory authority. 

1.8. Notwithstanding anything in these Terms and Conditions, Membership of and access to the Crown Sydney Casino as a Member or Guest remains subject to the Crown Rewards Rules, the Crown Sydney Casino Membership Policy and the Guest Play Rules. 

2. CROWN WALLET AT CROWN SYDNEY CASINO

2.1. The issue and use of your Card, and the establishment of your Crown Wallet, is subject to the Crown Rewards Rules or the Guest Play Policy (as applicable). 

2.2. You must use your Crown Wallet to play a casino game at Crown Sydney Casino. 

2.3. To use your Crown Wallet, funds must be deposited into your Crown Wallet in accordance with clauses 3 and 4:

2.3.1. at the Crown Sydney Casino cashier; or
2.3.2. at a dedicated buy-in table; or 
2.3.3. via the App.

Subject to these Terms and Conditions, these funds will then be available as credits for play using your Card at an automated table game or table game.

2.4. Crown does not accept contactless payments, credit cards or pre-paid cards of any kind (for example, gift cards). 

2.5. Any of your winnings from the Crown Sydney Casino can be credited to your Crown Wallet. If credited to your Crown Wallet, these funds will be available for gaming, or can be withdrawn in accordance with clause 5.

3. FUNDING YOUR CROWN WALLET – IN PERSON AT CROWN SYDNEY CASINO

3.1. You may, subject to the Terms and Conditions, fund your Crown Wallet at the Crown Sydney Casino cashier or at a dedicated buy-in table using:

3.1.1. cash (up to $5,000 in aggregate in any calendar day);
3.1.2. your Debit Card; 
3.1.3. (at the Crown Sydney Casino cashier only) your Deposit Account (if applicable). 

3.2. By authorising a Transaction using your Debit Card at the cashier, you represent and warrant to Crown that:

3.2.1. the Transaction is with a Debit Card that has been issued to you personally;
3.2.2. the Transaction will not involve the withdrawal of money from an account which is overdrawn; and
3.2.3. the use of your Debit Card to fund gaming activity does not contravene any law or the terms and conditions imposed on the use of your Debit Card by the issuer. 

3.3. Surcharges will apply to Debit Card Transactions at the cashier. Information regarding the applicable surcharge is displayed at the cashier. 

3.4. Crown will not accept deposits or withdrawals from your Crown Wallet by or to a person other than you. Crown may require you to provide Acceptable Identification in order to process a Transaction using your Crown Wallet. 

4. FUNDING YOUR CROWN WALLET – VIA THE APP

4.1. You may, subject to the Terms and Conditions, fund your Crown Wallet via the App. 

4.2. You may only make deposits or withdrawals via the App to a Crown Wallet if you are the holder of the relevant Crown Wallet. 

4.3. Debit Card Transactions via the App

4.3.1. Subject to the Terms and Conditions, you may use the App to link a Debit Card to your Crown Wallet. 
4.3.2. In order to verify that you are the holder of the Debit Card which you are seeking to link to your Crown Wallet, Crown will collect and disclose your personal information to the Digital Provider via the App. By proceeding to link your Debit Card to your Crown Wallet, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information for the purpose of undertaking the verification and otherwise in accordance with Crown’s Privacy Policy. 
4.3.3. Surcharges will apply to Debit Card Transactions via the App. Information regarding the applicable surcharge is displayed in the App. 
4.3.4. By authorising a Transaction using your Debit Card via the App, you represent and warrant to Crown that:
4.3.4.1. the Transaction is with a Debit Card that has been issued to you personally; 
4.3.4.2. the Transaction will not involve the withdrawal of money from an account which is overdrawn; and
4.3.4.3. the use of your Debit Card to fund gaming activity does not contravene any law or the terms and conditions imposed on the use of your Debit Card by the issuer.

 4.4. Direct deposit Transactions via the App

4.4.1. Subject to the Terms and Conditions, you may use the App to link your Bank Account to your Crown Wallet. 

4.4.2. Before you can deposit funds into your Crown Wallet via direct deposit from your Bank Account, you must attend the Crown Sydney Casino cashier with Acceptable Identification, details of your Bank Account (including a Bank Account statement from within the last 12 months which clearly displays your full name and details of your Bank Account including bank name, the BSB and account number and account type) and such further information as may be required by Crown for the purposes of verifying your Bank Account. 

4.4.3. By authorising a Transaction using your Bank Account via the App, you represent and warrant to Crown that the use of your Bank Account to fund gaming activity does not contravene any law or the terms and conditions imposed on the use of your Bank Account by your Bank. 

4.5 PayTo Transactions via the App

4.5.1. Subject to the Terms and Conditions, you may be eligible to enter into a PayTo Payment Agreement for the purpose of funding your Crown Wallet. 

4.5.2. To enter into a PayTo Payment Agreement, you must have an eligible Bank Account. Please refer to the terms and conditions of your Bank Account to determine if you are eligible to enter into a PayTo Payment Agreement. 

4.5.3. To enter into a PayTo Payment Agreement, you will be required to provide Crown with your personal information including your BSB and account number and / or PayID via the App. You represent and warrant to Crown that the information you provide to Crown when entering into your PayTo Pay Agreement is correct. 

4.5.4. Your personal information, including details of your PayTo Pay Agreement, will be submitted by Crown to its Payment Services Provider and will be included in the Mandate Management Service. By providing the personal information required for the entry into a PayTo Payment Agreement, you consent to the collection, use disclosure and storage of that personal information as required in connection with the entry into, administration of and performance of the PayTo Payment Agreement, including the disclosure of personal information to the Payment Services Provider, and the collection, use, disclosure and storage of that personal information by our Payment Services Provider for the creating NPP payment messages and enabling the Payment Services Provider to receive payments processed using NPP into Crown’s bank account. The collection, use and disclosure of this information will otherwise be in accordance with Crown’s Privacy Policy. 

4.5.5. The Mandate Management Service will notify your Bank of the creation of the PayTo Payment Agreement. You will be notified of the creation of the PayTo Payment Agreement in accordance with your Bank’s terms and conditions. You will need to review and confirm the details within the PayTo Payment Agreement. You may then authorise or decline the PayTo Payment Agreement. If you decline the PayTo Payment Agreement, you will not be able to fund your Crown Wallet using PayTo. 

4.5.6. The PayTo Payment Agreement will be subject to your Bank’s terms and conditions. By authorising a PayTo Payment Agreement with Crown, you represent and warrant to Crown that you have read and understood your Bank’s terms and conditions and that your entry into the PayTo Payment Agreement to fund gaming activity does not contravene those terms and conditions. 

4.5.7. Once the PayTo Payment Agreement has been authorised by you (and is not paused or cancelled):

4.5.7.1. Transactions using PayTo will be processed through the NPP. 
4.5.7.2. Payments made under a PayTo Payment Agreement will be subject to any associated terms, conditions and codes of practice that apply to PayTo (for example payment processing timeframes and dispute processes).
4.5.7.3. Your Bank will process Transactions as instructed by Crown via the Payment Services Provider in accordance with the PayTo Payment Agreement and your authorisation. 

4.5.8. Once a Transaction has been made under a PayTo Payment Agreement, it is irrevocable. 

4.5.9. Crown will not be liable for any loss that you suffer as a result of, or in connection with: 

4.5.9.1. any incorrect information you provide to Crown in relation to a PayTo Payment Agreement; 
4.5.9.2. any payments processed by Crown, the Payment Services Provider or your Bank in accordance with the terms of the PayTo Payment Agreement; or
4.5.9.3. Crown, the Payment Services Provider or your Bank acting on any instruction or authorisation from you in relation to the PayTo Payment Agreement.

4.5.10. If you wish to pause, amend or cancel the PayTo Payment Agreement, this will be subject to your Bank’s terms and conditions. Please refer to your Bank’s terms and conditions if you wish to pause, amend or cancel the PayTo Payment Agreement. You do not need to provide any notice to Crown if you wish to pause, amend or cancel the PayTo Payment Agreement. 

4.5.11. Crown may pause, resume or cancel a PayTo Payment Agreement with you in its sole discretion. You will be notified of any pause, resumption or cancellation in accordance with your Bank’s terms and conditions. 

4.5.12. You must comply with all applicable laws in connection with your use of PayTo. 

4.5.13. You must immediately notify Crown if you no longer hold or have authority to operate the Bank Account which is linked to the PayTo Payment Agreement. 

5. WITHDRAWING FUNDS FROM YOUR CROWN WALLET

5.1. The withdrawal of all or part of the balance of funds in your Crown Wallet can be done:

5.1.1. in person at the Crown Sydney Casino cashier in cash (up to $5,000 or other lesser amount determined by Crown Sydney cashier team members in their sole discretion), to your Deposit Account (if applicable), cheque or via EFT to your verified Bank Account; or 
5.1.2. using the App via EFT to your verified Bank Account. 

5.2. Before you can withdraw funds from your Crown Wallet via EFT to your Bank Account, your Bank Account must be verified.  To verify your Bank Account you must either:

5.2.1. have a current PayTo Payment Agreement with Crown Sydney which was established using your PayID; or
5.2.2. attend the Crown Sydney Casino cashier with Acceptable Identification, details of your Bank Account (including a Bank Account statement from within the last 12 months which clearly displays your full name and details of your Bank Account including bank name, the BSB and account number and account type) and such further information as may be required by Crown for the purposes of verifying your Bank Account.

5.3. Withdrawal Transactions via EFT are subject to bank processing times. 

5.4. Crown may require you to provide Acceptable Identification in order to process a withdrawal Transaction.

5.5. Withdrawal Transactions are subject to the requirements of any applicable laws and / or the requirements or directions of any regulatory authority. 

6. CONDITIONS OF USE OF YOUR CROWN WALLET 

6.1. The deposit of funds into your Crown Wallet are a pre-payment of credits for your participation in gaming activity at Crown Sydney Casino and are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled, except in the case of transactional error (in Crown’s sole discretion). You must notify Crown of any such error at the earliest opportunity and prior to any of the deposited funds having been used for play or otherwise withdrawn. A cancelled deposit Transaction may only be payable in accordance with clause 5 and may not be refunded to your Debit Card or Bank Account, unless the funds have not been credited to your Crown Wallet.  

6.2. If you dispute a Transaction relating to funds that have been deposited or withdrawn from your Crown Wallet, Crown reserves the right to suspend your Crown Wallet and / or access to Crown Sydney Casino without notice pending Crown’s investigation of the Transaction. 

6.3. A Transaction may be delayed, blocked, frozen or refused by Crown or the Payment Services Provider in their sole discretion. Crown will have no liability for any losses suffered by you in connection with the delay, block, freeze or refusal of a Transaction. Crown will not provide reasons for any decision or action taken by Crown or its Payment Services Provider in respect of a Transaction. Crown will have no liability if Crown makes a transfer or seeks to return funds to you in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and the funds are not received by you. 

6.4. During any period of technical malfunction resulting in Crown Wallet being unavailable, you may not be able to access your funds until the issue is resolved. Crown will not be liable for any loss that you suffer as a result of, or in connection with your Crown Wallet being unavailable.

6.5. You must not establish or attempt to establish any automatic deposit transactions for the purpose of funding your Crown Wallet. Crown reserves the right to suspend or cancel your Crown Wallet and / or access to Crown Sydney Casino without notice if Crown or its employees, in their sole discretion, form a suspicion that you have established an automatic deposit transaction for the purpose of funding your Crown Wallet. 

6.6. You must not conduct, or request that Crown conducts, any Transaction with your Crown Wallet that is not directly related to your gaming activity at Crown Sydney Casino. You must not use your Crown Wallet for any other purpose other than to fund your own gaming activity at Crown Sydney Casino. 

6.7. Crown will not accept any Transaction if the funds are from a third party, from a credit account or credit card.

6.8. By undertaking a Transaction you represent and warrant to Crown that:

6.8.1. You are the lawful owner of the funds you deposit or withdraw from your Crown Wallet. 
6.8.2. You are not entering into a Transaction on behalf of, under the direction of or for the benefit of any other party.
6.8.3. You have not and will not enter into agreements with any other party regarding the use of your Crown Wallet.
6.8.4. You will ensure that no other party uses your Crown Wallet or undertakes a Transaction. 

6.9. Crown does not receive or hold funds on trust for you. Your Crown Wallet and any Transactions do not constitute a trust or agency relationship between you and Crown. 

6.10. Funds in your Crown Wallet do not accrue interest. 

6.11. Crown may adjust or remove Transactions incorrectly made to your Crown Wallet. 

6.12. Crown may, in its sole discretion, immediately suspend or terminate (at Crown’s option) your Card or your Crown Wallet for any reason including (but not limited to):

6.12.1. if you are excluded or have your licence to enter Crown Sydney withdrawn;  
6.12.2. if you do not comply with these Terms and Conditions or with any law applicable to your use of the Crown Wallet;
6.12.3. if you die or become bankrupt;
6.12.4. if Crown has concerns about your gaming activity, including where Crown considers you may be displaying signs of gambling harm; 
6.12.5. if you engage in conduct which is dishonest, fraudulent, offensive, disruptive or intimidating; or
6.12.6. where required by law, by law enforcement or by any regulatory authority 

Crown will not provide reasons for any decision or action taken by Crown to suspend or terminate your Card or Crown Wallet. If Crown suspends or terminates your Crown Wallet, subject to requirements of any applicable law and / or requirements or directions of any regulatory authority, Crown may elect to return the funds in your Crown Wallet to your verified Bank Account (if applicable) or otherwise in a manner of Crown’s choosing. 

7. DELAYS IN ACCESSING FUNDS FOR GAMING 

7.1. Subject to the Terms and Conditions, for any second or subsequent deposit Transactions in a calendar day, a delay of 15 minutes will be applied. This means that the funds in your Crown Wallet will not be available for gaming for a period of at least 15 minutes following your authorisation of the deposit Transaction. This delay will be applied to deposit Transactions made via the App and in person at Crown Sydney Casino. 

7.2. A delay will not be applied to your first deposit Transaction of the calendar day. This means that these funds will be available in your Crown Wallet for gaming immediately following the processing of the deposit Transaction. 

7.3. A delay will not be applied for deposit Transactions using cash or any of your winnings at the Crown Sydney Casino. 

8. DORMANT ACCOUNTS

8.1. If there are funds in your Crown Wallet, and Crown considers that your Crown Wallet may be dormant (including where you have not Transacted using your Crown Wallet for a period of 180 days or more), subject to requirements of any applicable law and / or requirements or directions of any regulatory authority, Crown may elect to return the funds to the verified Bank Account linked to your Crown Wallet (if applicable). Otherwise, Crown will attempt to contact you to arrange for the return of your funds. 

8.2. If Crown cannot contact you, subject to any applicable law and / or requirements or directions of any regulatory authority, Crown will close your account and will return your funds, less any Account Closure Fee which is payable, to you in a manner of Crown’s choosing. 

8.3. Crown reserves the right to revoke access to or close a Crown Wallet that has become inactive. 

8.4. Crown will debit the Account Closure Fee from any Crown Wallet that Crown closes due to inactivity or otherwise in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The Account Closure Fee may be waived in Crown’s sole discretion. 

9. DEPOSIT LIMITS

9.1. Members and Guests of the Crown Sydney Casino may elect to set Deposit Limits. 

9.2. If you elect to set a Deposit Limit, it is your responsibility to determine the amount of any Deposit Limit having regard to your individual circumstances. 

9.3. You may set a Deposit Limit, change a Deposit Limit you have set or opt out of setting a Deposit Limit at any time. You can set or change your Deposit Limit, or opt out of setting a Deposit Limit, through the App or by visiting the Host desk, the Crown Sydney Casino cashier, or Crown PlaySafe located on Level 2 at Crown Sydney. If you wish to change a Deposit Limit you have set, a decrease in your Deposit Limit will apply immediately following the actioning of your request by Crown, but an increase in your Deposit Limit will not take effect until after 24 hours following the actioning of your request by Crown. 

9.4. From 19 February 2025 or such other date as determined by Crown in its discretion, you will not be able to use your Card for gaming in the Crown Sydney Casino if you do not set a Deposit Limit or expressly advise Crown that you do not want to set a Deposit Limit. 

9.5. Crown Sydney will periodically send you information regarding the benefits of Deposit Limits. You consent to Crown Sydney sending you this information including by electronic means such as text, email or via the App. 

9.6. You must not attempt to exceed any Deposit Limit you have set. Crown is not liable to you for any loss suffered in connection with any action taken by Crown or its employees for the purpose of implementing any Deposit Limits set by you. 

9.7. If you have a Deposit Account and you elect to set a Deposit Limit, Crown may directly credit funds transferred via direct deposit to Crown to your Crown Wallet on receipt by Crown (subject to completion of any required verification). 

9.8. Crown may in its sole discretion place a limit on the maximum fund balance that can be held on or transferred to your Crown Wallet. Crown may reject any Transaction that could result in the balance of your Crown Wallet exceeding a maximum limit or transfer any funds exceeding the maximum limit to you in a manner of Crown’s choosing.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY

10.1. Subject to this clause 10, you will be responsible and liable for any Transaction or use of your Crown Wallet. 

10.2. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to affect any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) and the Fair Trading Act 1987 (NSW) which cannot be excluded. 

10.3. Without limiting any other provision in these terms and conditions but subject to clause 10.2, to the maximum extent permitted by law, Crown, its related bodies corporate and its officers, employees, agents and contractors are not and will not be liable for any damages or any other loss incurred by you (including consequential loss) either directly or indirectly arising in connection with these Terms and Conditions or any Transaction or use of your Crown Wallet, except to the extent caused by the negligence, wilful misconduct or wrongful act or omission of Crown, its related bodies corporate or its officers, agents or employees.

10.4. You indemnify Crown against any claim, action, damage, loss, liability, cost or expense (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis) which Crown or its related bodies corporate pay, suffer, incur or are liable for, in respect of:

10.4.1. any breach by you of these Terms and Conditions or any law applicable to your use of the Crown Wallet;
10.4.2. the dishonour or reversal of any Transaction;
10.4.3. the enforcement, protection or waiver of, or the attempted enforcement or protection of, any rights or powers of Crown under, or in connection with, these Terms and Conditions or your use of the Crown Wallet; and
10.4.4. any tax (including goods and services tax), duty, charge, impost, or withholding incurred, payable or deducted by Crown under, or in connection with, your use of the Crown Wallet.

10.5. If at any time Crown receives from you any amount which is not in Australian dollars, you indemnify Crown against any shortfall between the amount payable in Australian dollars and the amount actually received or recovered by Crown after the payment currency is converted into Australian dollars.

11. GENERAL 

11.1. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales. Each party submits to the jurisdiction of the courts of that State and of any court that may hear appeals from any of those courts, for any proceedings in connection with these terms and conditions.

11.2. To the extent that any provision in these Terms and Conditions is illegal or unenforceable, it is severed without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions of the Terms and Conditions. 

11.3. Crown may, in its sole discretion, waive or modify the application of a provision of these Terms and Conditions in respect of a Member or Guest (or a group of Members or Guests). Any such waiver does not operate as a waiver of such right, requirement, application or compliance if it arises again. 

12.    DEFINITIONS 

Acceptable Identification means such current and valid forms of identification as Crown requires in its sole discretion from time to time. Such Acceptable Identification must be valid and current and. Crown may in its sole discretion choose not to accept identification that is provided in digital form only and may require a physical form of identification to be provided. 
Account Closure Fee means a fee calculated as the lesser of $10.00 or the balance remaining in the Account.
Account means your account used for gaming at the Crown Sydney Casino, otherwise referred to as the Crown Wallet. 
App means the Crown Resorts Mobile Application. 
Bank Account means your personal account that you hold with a bank or other financial institution. 
Bank means the bank with which you hold your Bank Account. 
Card means the card issued to you by Crown which is linked to your Account. 
Crown means Crown Sydney Gaming Pty Ltd ABN 97 166 326 843. 
Crown Rewards Rules means the Crown Rewards Rules available on the Website. 
Crown Sydney Casino Membership Policy means the Crown Sydney Casino Membership Policy, available on the Website. 
Crown Wallet means the cashless deposit and withdrawal functionality which allows for funds to be deposited or withdrawn directly to or from your Card for gaming activity at Crown Sydney Casino. Your Crown Wallet may also be referred to as Card Play / Card Play Extra or your cashless account. 
Debit Card means a debit card issued to you and which you have authorised for use in the Transaction using that debit card. 
Deposit Account means a deposit account established at Crown Sydney in accordance with the Deposit Account Terms and Conditions available on the Website.
Deposit Limit means the maximum amount of money from an external funding source (including from cash, your Bank Account and your Debit Card) that you can deposit in a calendar day into your Crown Wallet. 
Digital Provider means the third party or third parties engaged by Crown from time to time to facilitate the provision of the Crown Wallet functionality through the App. 
Guest means an approved person who is permitted to access the Crown Sydney Casino in accordance with the Casino Guest Policy. 
Guest Play Rules means the Guest Play Rules available on the Website. 
Mandate Management Service means the central database operated by NPP where details of PayTo Payment Agreements are stored. 
Member means a person who has a current Membership under the Crown Sydney Casino Membership Policy.
Membership means membership entitling access to the Crown Sydney Casino in accordance with the Crown Sydney Casino Membership Policy.
NPP means the New Payments Platform operated by NPP Australia Limited ABN 68 601 428 737. 
PayID means the identifier that you choose to receive PayID payments. PayID is a registered trademark of NPP Australia Limited. 
Payment Services Provider means the third party or third parties engaged by Crown from time to time to facilitate electronic payments for Crown and includes the provider of Crown’s banking services from time to time. 
PayTo means the service which enables Crown to issue instructions for the processing of electronic payments cleared and settled by participating financial institutions via the NPP from your Bank Account in accordance with your PayTo Payment Agreement. PayTo is a registered trademark of NPP Australia Limited. 
PayTo Payment Agreement means an agreement between you and Crown through which you authorise Crown and its Payment Services Provider to withdraw funds from your Bank Account using the PayTo service. 
Privacy Policy means the Crown Sydney Privacy Policy available on the Website. 
Terms and Conditions means these terms and conditions any terms and conditions which are connected to your Membership and / or access to Crown Sydney Casino and your gaming activities at Crown Sydney Casino including (as applicable) the Crown Rewards Rules, the Crown Sydney Casino Membership Policy, the Guest Play Rules and the Deposit Account Terms and Conditions. 
Transaction means any transaction involving the funds in your Crown Wallet, including a deposit or withdrawal transaction. Transact and Transacted have a corresponding meaning. 
Website means the Crown Sydney website available at crownsydney.com.au.
